Process
An Introductory meeting where the client explains exactly what they are wanting and details the specific work that is being commissioned. This is followed up by a second meeting where Natalie shares her thoughts, responses and sketches in order that both parties are clear and happy. Natalie will then “check in” periodically throughout the process to ensure the work is moving in absolutely the right direction.
Pricing
Commissions are priced individually as necessary. However fundamentally works are priced on size, although the more complex the subject, clearly more work involved and time consumed ie If a figurative piece and there is only one figure, it will cost less than the same sized painting with three or four figures.

Terms
For commissioned works, Natalie takes one third of the agreed-upon price upfront another midway and the final payment when the commission is complete.
Also to be discussed are the rights that define who owns the work after it is finished, an agreement about reproduction rights of the work, as well as stipulations about if the work is allowed to be exhibited, loaned, etc.
There is also a Termination Agreement that lays out how the agreement could be ended between the artist and commissioner, by either party, for whatever reasons and payment terms/ material cost if this is the case.
