Chess Girls IV

Three women seem to be quite involved with a game of chess.

The familiarity that the two blonde women appear to have is in contrast with the woman to the right of the painting. Did the artist place her there BECAUSE of the emotional distance or was it coincidence? It begs the question of our own separateness, being alone when in a group, and being comfortable with that.
